Communicable Disease
Preventing and/or controlling communicable disease is not only necessary but a must for protecting the members within our communities.
Who Should Report?
Prompt reporting of diagnosed and suspected case is required by:
- Physicians- Including Emergency Department Physicians
- Laboratories
- Infectious Disease Specialists
- Nursing Administrators
- Epidemiologists
- Dentists
- Physician’s Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurses
- Veterinarians
- Schools and Childcare Centers
- Pharmacists
Routine communicable disease activities and services are provided during regular health department hours. Staff are available outside of normal business hours for emergency situations.
