Family Planning/Breast And Cervical Cancer Project

 

To Be Eligible Women Must:

 

bullet

Be a Family Planning Client

bullet

Be under the age of 40 (39 or younger)

bullet

Have an abnormal cervical cancer screen (Pap Test) that may indicate a possible cancer diagnosis

bullet

Have no insurance coverage for the diagnostic test recommended

bullet

Have an income under 250% of poverty

 

Covered Services

 

bullet

Office consultation visit (Cervical only)

bullet

Colposcopy (with or without biopsy)

bullet

Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) of cervix

bullet

Endocervical Curettage (not part of dilation and curettage/D& C)

bullet

Biopsy pathology costs (Cervical only)

 

If Cancer is Diagnosed

 

Woman is automatically eligible for Medicaid benefits (through Michigan’s Medicaid Treatment Act) which will help cover the cost of treatment.
